I've been here a few times when I visit SINY and enjoyed every time. The burritos/chimichangas were delicious. The salsa has a saucy consistency with a garden fresh flavor. I also enjoyed the chipotle corn salsa and the Street corn! Good food with good portions!

The food at that place is fantastic. One of the best things about it is that there is always parking available, which can be a hassle at other places. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. And the best part is that the prices are quite reasonable, so you won't have to break the bank to enjoy a good meal there.

Pretty solid place with amazing decor, vibes and even more amazing flavors! I've been wanting to try Sofia's for a while so we stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch while in Staten Island. Hubs and I came in with our 4 boys and another family of 5. He and I had the mojitos - blueberry for him and strawberry for me. I gravitate towards strawberry anything but I must admit, his blueberry mojito was so good, I ordered 2 more of those! Two of our boys ordered the blueberry lemonade and they tasted pretty great too. We also asked for a round of waters for everyone and the house tri-color tortilla chips and salsa were enough to hold the kids off until the food came. For our family, we got the crab empanadas to share and got the kids' entrees ordered right away: carne asada tacos and chicken fingers + fries for our youngest 3 to share. My oldest got the beef tacos, hubby got the steak burrito and I got the carne asada off the Platos Fuertes selection. I was surprised at how much crab meat was in our empanadas - decent sized and lumps of meat. My steak was well seasoned, tasted great and cooked to medium, just as I ordered. Hubby is a stickler when it comes to food and pleasantly enjoyed his meal. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed their entrees and our servers were amazing, patient and so accommodating considering how many young children we had with us. Hubby and I already can't wait to make another day out to SI to stop by for brunch next time. The bottomless mimosas are calling my name.

Best Mexican food I had on Staten Island. The chicken burritos and chimichangas were so full of flavor in every bite. I was a little worried since I saw some prior Yelp photos with very little chicken in the burrito, but ours seemed to be loaded to the brim with great tasting blackened chicken (emphasis on the blackened, because because most Mexican restaurants in the northeast have notoriously flavorless chicken). The staff was really nice as well, accommodating a substitution of black beans in the burrito on a busy Friday night. As for the chimichanga, I'm used to them being much smaller and crispier, but this was an awesome improvement on the classic dish, with the tasty cheese fondue. It's very mild, for those who can't handle spicy, but they were happy to bring a few additional hot sauces to the table to bring that heat back in the mix. Overall a really nice experience with great atmosphere. It was a little loud inside, but I look forward to coming here again in the summer for a chance to eat outside

Definitely make reservations for a Friday night or weekend! This place gets very busy. It was my first time coming here and I loved it! It's so nice inside and it's upbeat! If you want to have a good time and good food, come here! If it's your birthday, even better! They sing to you with a sparkler and with a rooster for good luck! Their food and drinks were on point and delicious.

A friend and I came around 430 and we chose to sit outside because it was a beautiful day! The tacos were fresh and the carnitas were savory. The guacamole was fabulous, and wasn't overpowered by cilantro. My favorite part of dining here was the white sangria! It was simply divine!! The service was quick and there were no hiccups with our orders which is always a plus in my book!

Y'all I am Puerto Rican, and I don't eat tres leches cake ever, not even from my 72 year old mom who came directly from Puerto Rico. But this cookie butter tres leches cake is ridiculous. If I had to put this review in another way, I'd say that my partner convinced me to name our future child Sofia due to our longstanding love of this restaurant. Really, really good food.
